APPLY FOR ADOPT-A-FAMILY CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE HERE! About the Program: The holiday season is supposed to be a special time for all, but it can be hard for many families and members of our community who are already struggling to make ends meet. It can be difficult for parents to put gifts under the tree for their little ones and a hot meal on the table, when their day to day expenses are barely covered. For 28 years, the SERVE Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program has matched children of low-income families in Callaway County with community members who "adopt" them for Christmas. The adopters receive the child's Christmas wish list, and shop for and purchase gifts for that child. The process is completely confidential, and the adopters will never receive identifying information about the child (only information from their wish list that will help them purchase gifts for the child). |
This program provides:Four (4) gifts for each child to open on Christmas morning: 1. something they want
2. something they need 3. something to wear 4. something to read Hygiene products for the family Groceries for a full holiday meal Food and a special Christmas gift bag for disabled adults and seniors over the age of 60 This process is 100% completely confidential! Our adopters will not know the parent or child’s name (or any identifying information) and the families who receive the gifts will not know the names of our adopters. |

Help make a child's Christmas wish come true this holiday season!
When you adopt a child through the SERVE Adopt-a-Family Program, we'll send you the child’s wish list (without personal identifying information), which includes a list of their favorite things, clothing sizes, age, grade, and hobbies. You then get to shop for and purchases Christmas gifts for that child.
Adopters can register online anytime after October 1st. We will begin the matching process November 1st.
Our goal is to adopt all children by December 1st.
Details about the specific dates, times and locations for gift drop will be emailed to you along with the child's wish list.
You can adopt as many children as you'd like!
